Acute care team
The acute care team is led by a GP and provides same-day care for patients who require our most urgent attention. You will therefore be asked health screening questions during your first contact with the surgery for your condition to be assessed and enable you to speak with the most appropriate clinician we have available for you. This may mean that you won’t speak to a GP in the first instance if another member of staff is better suited to help you.

The secondary care team is in place to help patients with non-urgent conditions. Led by our care coordinator, your needs will be assessed before we ensure you are provided the right information or provided with details of a clinician who is better placed to help you.
