Flu and Covid vaccination clinics are happening in October. Booking will be available from 5th September for patients aged 65 years and over, and those in a clinical risk group. Look out for your text message to book an appointment or ring us from 5th September.
Patients aged 50 to 64 years old, not in a clinical risk group will be eligible for their flu vaccine in the middle of October and we will keep you updated when appointments are available.

The groups eligible for flu vaccination in the 2022 to 2023 flu season include:
- All children aged 2 or 3 years on 31 August 2022 – Clinic dates to follow
- Those aged 6 months to under 65 years in clinical risk groups which includes:
- Respiratory conditions, such as asthma (needing steroid inhaler or tablets), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including emphysema and bronchitis
- Diabetes
- Heart conditions, such as coronary heart disease or heart failure
- Being very overweight – a body mass index (BMI) of 40 or above
- Chronic kidney disease
- Liver disease, such as hepatitis
- Neurological conditions, such as Parkinson’s disease, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis (MS), or cerebral palsy
- A learning disability
- Problems with your spleen, for example, sickle cell disease, or if you have had your spleen removed
- A weakened immune system as the result of conditions such as HIV and AIDS, or taking medicines such as steroid tablets or chemotherapy
- Pregnant women
- Those aged 65 years and over
- Later in the season; those aged 50 to 64 years old not in clinical risk groups (including those who turn 50 by 31 March 2023)
- Those in long-stay residential care homes
- Carers
- Close contacts of immunocompromised individuals
- Frontline staff employed by the following types of social care providers without employer led occupational health schemes:
- A registered residential care or nursing home
- Registered domiciliary care provider
- A voluntary managed hospice provider
- Direct Payment (personal budgets) or Personal Health Budgets, such as Personal Assistants
The groups eligible for COVID-19 Vaccination Autumn Booster include:
- Residents in a care home for older adults and staff working in care homes for older adults
- Frontline health and social care workers
- All adults aged 50 years and over
- Persons aged 5 to 49 years in a clinical risk group which we will identify and contact
- Persons aged 5 to 49 years who are household contacts of people with immunosuppression
- Persons aged 16 to 49 years who are carers
