We request that a home visit only be requested by patients who are too ill to travel to the surgery. Upon phoning the surgery you will be asked the reason for your home visit request. It would be helpful to give the receptionist as much information as possible. Where possible, please phone the surgery regarding a home visit request before 10.30.

If you require urgent medical advice, please telephone the surgery as normal on 01726 882745 and your query will be dealt with by the acute care team. The acute care team is led by a GP and is available daily. We have an on-call team consisting of Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs) and Paramedics. The on-call GP might deem it appropriate for a member of the on-call team to attend your home visit.

At times we would still strongly advise that patients be seen at the surgery due to the facilities accessible for examining and treating you.

Unfortunately, we cannot facilitate home visits due to lack of transport. Should you have issues with transport that mean you unable to get to the surgery, please go to our Appointments page for a list of services that may be able to help you.
